Cattle, Cowboys & Culture: Kansas City and Amarillo, Building an Urban West

February 22 - December 31,2019

"Cattle, Cowboys & Culture: Kansas City and Amarillo, Building an Urban West showcases the shared heritage between Amarillo and Kansas City, and is the work of co-curators Michael Grauer, former Curator of Art and Western Heritage at PPHM, and Dr. Amy Von Lintel, Associate Professor of Art History at West Texas A&M University. The narrative of this show is based in material objects and artifacts, including saddles and other functional goods used by the pioneering cattlemen and urbanists of Amarillo, but also photographs, letters, and architectural renderings in the PPHM collection."
