Berlin-based artist Gabriel Vormstein fills the walls of Artpace's Hudson (Show)Room with paintings and collages featuring fragments of images from art historical sources for his exhibition entitled, The Teeth of the Wind and the Sea. Inspired by the work of Egon Schiele, Vormstein reexamines the romantic, emotionally charged gestures found in early Modernist painting. Also on view is Joshua Bienko's Window Works exhibition with drawings, paintings, photography, and video works referencing pop culture icons. Participating in the 2011 Texas Biennial.
