The U.S. premiere of new performance piece by Jean-Claude Carrière, the screenwriter of "The Incredible Lightness of Being." A tightly condensed version of the ancient Indian epic, The Mahabharata based on the Brooklyn Academy of Music's celebrated 9-hour marathon which Carrière created with acclaimed director Peter Brook in 1984. Two performances: Monday, March 11 at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, March 12 at 7 p.m. in the Menil foyer.
