Conroe artist Mark Clapham died Thursday at age 63, of cancer. Though widely known for his 70-foot mural “The Montgomery County Walkway Through Time” that spans Texas 105 East in downtown Conroe, Clapham was primarily a western sculptor, producing 80 bronzes that earned him a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
