Author, artist and critic Elizabeth McBride, longtime fixture of the Houston scene has died. Her family plans a Houston memorial at the Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church on Sunday, June 14 at 2pm. Elizabeth attended Rice University and, later, the University of Houston where she received a master’s degree in creative writing. She spent most of her adult life in Houston, later moving to Marfa and then Alpine, where she died.
