Sugarman Saved???

The George Sugarman sculptures on view at 602 Sawyer in Houston are actually pieces from an epic, dismantled installation originally created for the First National Bank Building in St. Paul, Minneapolis. The Houston Chronicle’s Douglas Britt has tracked down the surprising story behind the work and discusses “the thorny issues involved in preserving artworks that function as public art but aren’t owned by the public.”
