Texas art legend James Surls returns to Houston with a new body of work, and an already impressive list of accomplishments for 2009. Seven of his sculptures can currently be seen in the outdoor exhibit James Surls on Park Avenue, which lines the street of the boulevard in Midtown Manhattan (on view through August). He's also got a new monograph titled James Surls: From the Heartland, which he will be signing during the opening. No one wants to miss this exhibit, so check it out!
