Today, October 8th, is the 13th annual Artpace Chalk It Up festival in San Antonio. This yearly program, which runs from 10AM to 4PM, is organized to raise support and awareness for Artpace’s educational programming. Events for today’s festivities include the creation of a city-block-sized mural, food trucks, live music, a photo booth, and other family fun!
This year’s Chalk It Up is spotlighting two San Antonio-based artists: John Hernandez, who has previously shown at Artpace, and Emily Fleisher, who currently has a Window Works exhibition on view.
The event will also feature twenty additional San Antonio artists competing to create the best chalk mural. For more information on Chalk It Up, please go here.
