The Ellen Nöel Art Museum in Odessa, made a Smithsonian affiliate last year, is receiving its first shipment of art from the Washington D.C.-based national museum: Upright Leaf Forms (1957) by British sculptor Robert Adams. The piece, installed by a borrowed preparator, was unveiled June 30 with Harold Closter, Director of Smithsonian Affiliations in attendance. “It’s made of iron. They’re super refined welds, come see it because it’s as good as it gets,” said Nöel Museum Director Les Reker.
