Art Car: The Movie will premier will premiere on Nov. 13 at Miller Outdoor Theatre, with a sneak peek scheduled for Art Car weekend on May 21 at Discovery Green as part of this year’s Houston Cinema Arts Festival, Nov 9-13. The feature length documentary by co-directors Carlton Ahrens and Ford Gunter follows a handful of local artists as they prepare their entries for the 2010 Houston Art Car Parade, including Rebecca Bass and Mark “Scrapdaddy” Bradford, then puts the Art Car phenomenon into cultural context with interviews with art critics, Dan Ackroyd and George Michael.
