Austin Art in Public Places has unveiled
Open Room Austin, a permanent public artwork by Rosario Marquardt and
Roberto Behar from Miami. Located on the mound at Sand Beach Park (at
the intersection of Cesar Chavez and South Lamar), the project, a long
outdoor table with a delicate lace tablecloth surrounded by branching
lampposts like chandeliers, won’t get illuminated until later, but the
structure is in.
