UT, Austin has commissioned NY multi-media artist David Ellis to create an original video for the university’s new Visual Arts Center, which is scheduled to open in September 2010. The center will be in the old Blanton Museum space in the UT art building. The Austin American-Statesman’s Jeanne Claire van Ryzin guesses the commission is worth $70,000 to $140,000, although UT is not saying.
