Suzanne Sellers, Houston muralist who painted the Market Scene on downtown’s Market Square, was selected by the Dayton, TX City Council to create several murals for the new Dayton Community Center and Jones Library building. Three of the murals will be inside the building. One of the murals is the city seal and two of them are of rural items, industry and Dayton landmarks. The fourth mural will be painted on the veterans remembrance garden wall, says Melecio Franco in the online Dayton News. A grand opening ceremony is set for January 15.
