Don Bacigalupi, former director of the University of Houston’s Blaffer Gallery and former curator at the San Antonio Museum of Art has been named director of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville, Arkansas, a new 100,000 square foot mega-museum funded by Wal-mart heiress Alice Walton, who called Bacigalupi "a perfect fit with our mission" who will "ensure the success of Crystal Bridges."
