Unique, and I mean it

Richard "subtle" Tuttle is coming to the Menil Collection Tuesday evening to give a talk on "Positive Art and Positive Healing." Although most of his work has taken the form of three-dimensional objects, he commonly refers to his it as "drawing," emphasizing the diminutive scale and idea-based nature of his practice. "Creates small, eccentrically playful objects in decidedly humble, even ‘pathetic’ materials such as paper, rope, string, cloth, wire, twigs, cardboard, bubble wrap, nails, Styrofoam, and plywood. Last time I saw him speak, he threw mud against the wall. Tuesday March 10 at 7:00pm. FREE!
