Menil Collection curator Matthew Drutt springs back from his rather disappointing debut at the Menil (the Vik Muniz show this past spring) with a show of Anna Gaskell’s photography. Again, this will be another premier of a new body of work, so…we don’t quite know what we’ll get, except that it’ll supposedly be based on the novel Rebecca. Artists don’t always come through when presenting new work, and Drutt deserves applause for showing unseen stuff at the Menil (and for giving artists the opportunity to work on something new).
